Why does the fabric look grayish or dirty in some spots? Do I need to replace?
This is normal for corduroy. The upright pile reflects light differently by direction — when stroked against the pile, it appears lighter or grayish. Simply smooth the surface with your hand to restore uniform look. No replacement needed.
